The Eventim Apollo is a major live venue located in Hammersmith, London. It is one of the most iconic and well loved live venues in the UK, with a rich history of entertaining crowds. A night out at the Eventim Apollo is always very special.
Designed by Robert Cromie in Art Deco style,The Eventim Apollo opened in 1932 as the Gaumont Palace Cinema, being renamed the Hammersmith Odeon in 1962. It became a Grade II listed building in 1990.The fully restored Compton organ, used in its cinema days in the 1930s, is still found at the Eventim Apollo which has also become a favourite place formassive live Comedy shows.
Highlights from the Eventim Apollo's glittering history include 38 Beatles gigs from 1964-1965, David Bowie's last gig as Ziggy Stardust in 1973 and several concerts by Queen in the late 1970's.The venue has also starred in various music DVDs from the likes of Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and Kings Of Leon.
Aside from music the Eventim Apollo hosts a top-notch line-up of comedy, dance and kids shows from the biggest and best names in the business, from 'Riverdance' to Russell Brand to SpongeBob Square Pants. The Apollo is also the eponymous venue in the BBC stand-up comedy series Live at the Apollo.
With a mixed standing seated capacity of over 3500 and 5000 for all standing the Eventim Apollo remains one of London’s legendary venues. Eventim is the official ticket retailer for the Eventim Apollo.
Within the Eventim Apollo all children aged 14s and under need to be accompanied by an adult (over 18) and advised to be in the seated areas only as their view may be restricted in the standing areas. Children under the age of two years are not admitted for adult shows.
If the show is not specifically aimed at an adult-only audience, children of any age are admitted (14s and under need to be accompanied by an adult) to the Eventim Apollo providing they can sit up straight in a seat and that the parent is confident the child is well behaved enough not to be a distraction for other members of the audience.

The nearest 24-hour car park is located behind the Kings Mall and accommodates 1000 cars. The car park can be entered up until 20:00 and cars can be collected anytime. Novotel London West, located 3 to 5 minutes walk from the Apollo offers great and secured car park facilities. Up to 240 bays are available on a first come first served basis.

There are no specific areas of the venue that facilitate access for the ambulant disabled, however there are several seats which can be accessed by patrons using crutches, sticks or walking frames. Please call 0208 563 3800 before booking your tickets for more information.
This venue offers a limited amount of free companion tickets per show, these are available on a first come first served basis by contacting the venue directly (max one per disabled patron). These are limited in availability so customers will need to contact the venue as soon as possible to arrange. Companion ticket holders should be able to meet the needs and assist the person they are accompanying in the event of an emergency.
If a promoter has a guest with accessibility requirements they will need to contact the box office before hand to ensure we have suitable seating available for them on the night of the show. COLLECTIONS: All accessibility tickets are for collection on the day of the event and can be collected anytime from 4pm.
Eventim Apollo’s two accessible platforms are located at the back of the stalls area. The platforms can each accommodate up to 8 access ticket holders and their companions.
The main floor of the auditorium slopes away from the access platform to provide a clear view of the stage above seated and standing patrons.
For customers who wish to use the circle we also reserve four seats in the front row of the circle for all stalls standing events. These seats are held until all other provision within the circle area is sold out, at which point they will be placed on general release. For some events, customers may stand in the circle meaning an unrestricted view cannot be guaranteed. Security are unable to stop audience members from standing during events.
There is an access ramp at the front entrance of the building or 2 steps from the street into the venue. The foyer and bar area into the auditorium is step free. The circle seating area is only accessible via steps. Unfortunately there is no lift to the circle area.
• 30 steps from the main entrance to the circle foyer.
• 10 steps from the circle foyer to circle auditorium entrance.
• 12 steps from circle auditorium entrance Row F to A.
• 39 steps from circle auditorium entrance Row G to Z and rear circle standing.
For example, if you have a seat in row F of the circle there are a total of 52 steps.
The venue has a hearing loop system that covers the majority of the Stalls, plus blocks 8,9 and 10 in the Circle. Amplification headphones and neck loops are available for a refundable deposit of £5. Please speak to Box Office staff upon arrival to collect a unit.
Guide dogs are welcome into the venue and our staff are happy to look after them during the performance. If you are bringing a guide dog, please call 0208 563 3800 to inform the venue in advance.
DISABLED ACCESS TOILET:
There are 2 located at the rear of the stalls by the house left disabled access platform. The Disabled Access toilet has been fitted with a RADAR lock; please bring your key with you to access the toilet. If you do not own a RADAR key, please ask the staff member who is assigned to the Disabled Access ramps for the key.
The box office has an induction loop system and is of an accessible height.
