Chris H, 10/11/14
Superb venue-excellent acoustics and no bad seats anywhere. Easy to reach by public transport. Definitely the best place to see Joanne and appreciate her musicianship, I would certainly go there again to see other artists, and, at less than £20; the tickets were excellent value for money.
Joanne Shaw Taylor (10/11/14) - Brilliant show
Simply superb show, Joanne is one of the best guitar players Ive ever seen. Also, her choice of support in Bernie Marsden was inspired-he is a great performer and no mean guitarist himself!-the highlight was Joanne and Bernie playing together, especially the duelling guitars!, also the venue was excellent, there wasnt a bad seat in the house
This is a lovely venue, fantastic sound, good facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Minor gripe - photography! Make your notices about recording and flash more prominent. I was pleased that staff dealt with offenders politely and without fuss.
Asia (03/11/14) - What an incredible evening!
When you book a ticket to see Asia, you expect a brilliant evening and they never disappoint. This night they the best Ive seen. All the band were on top form, playing music from the first album through to the last, all of it exciting, moving and truly wonderful. Young Sam has a magic touch on that guitar and has grown in confidence from when I saw his first gig with them. He is the future! John Whettons voice improves with age -OK some of the top notes go missing when were older, but that has meant that the middle and bottom of his range has mellowed and is fruity and sound! I love Geoffs keyboard work, its the best, it doesnt get better than this! Over the years Ive seen hundreds of drummers and countless drum solos, Carl Palmer is undoubtedly the master! I love the tricks and they all worked tonight! A fabulous evening! Even the outro music (Sans-Saints Organ Concerto) was fabulous. When are they playing again?
