Chester Le Street - Durham Cricket Club
Bit disappointing from Cee Cee, 18/07/12Tom Jones himself was great but the rest of the show was disappointing. The support acts looked as if they had just been asked to pop along and fill in some time. There was no show as such, no extras, just the first band/singer singing songs he had written which were, in the main, depressing subjects and songs. The female singer (I forget her name) was okay but again, looked as if she had popped on stage in passing. It was an outside concert, and there was no atmosphere. The seats were particularly small and narrow and I felt the whole thing was a bit of a rip-off having spent over £160 for 2 seats. Tom Jones voice is still fantastically good but again, he stood and sang with very little showmanship. Glad we went but feel it was not good value for money
Durham - Durham Cricket Ground
The best yet, thank you Tom, you made my night from Angelawouldlovetomeettom, 17/07/12I saw Tom at the Arena in Newcastle for my 50th three years ago and loved it though felt it was a bit flat, albeit front seats for £160 each for my husband and I - yes, he came along and loved the show. I have waited from being about 18 years old, loving his music to eventually seeing him, which was so special. I would so love to say hello and have a hug from him and maybe one day I will. The event at Durham Cricket Ground was amazing, we had good tickets, though got to move closer over the evening - in the rain to see the lovely Tom. He sang so well and with great presence and made me feel emotional. I loved his humour on the night too and we danced all night. Hey, Mike Reid was looking pretty cool also and I got a photo of him looking at me - very nice. Angela Grieveson, Middlesbrough xxx
I give it the wow factor xxx thank you xxx
