I Loved It!!! Led Zeppelin Power their Way Back. from Gary Prescott, 15/10/12
Hammersmith Apollo, Friday 12th October. Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and . . . . Jimmy Page are on stage and a cinema crowd becomes a rock audience. Robert introduces the film - sounds great, looks like were having a good time. The lights dimmed and a film began. Starts with American TV news report on the event and in to a bass heavy Good Times, Bad Times. The mix at this time didnt seem right to my ear but what do I know? Ramble On, Black Dog and a debut piece, For Your Life before Robert introduces a piece influenced by the 1930s musician Robert Johnsons Terraplane Blues - Trampled Underfoot. Now they were cooking on gas! All classics played over the next couple of hours; Nobodys Fault but Mine, No Quarter, Dazed and Confused [a cut down version compared to the Song Remains The Same piece but still with the famous violin bow section, maybe not so powerful here though], Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir and Whole Lotta Love before ending with Rock and Roll. Ive probably missed some pieces out. Yes, I remember Misty Mountain Hop! And they may not have been in this order but what the hell. Brilliant and although I feel Jimmys playing didnt contain the fluent runs of his playing in the 70s, his riff work was exemplary and the power of the music and its ferocity was all still there, as well as the beauty. Great to be in a cinema where every ending to a song was greeted with wild applause and shouting, just as at an actual concert. Even a standing ovation at the end. Fabulous! Gone are the trivial home movies that got in the way of the music in Song Remains The Same. Here instead is a well shot, visually stunning film of the rock music event of 2007. I enjoyed every minute, dancing away in the aisles. Even saw Nick Mason of Pink Floyd who was there in the circle! Cant wait for the DVD to go on sale! Buy it and, as Robert apologised for when introducing the film - PLAY IT LOUD!

    Fantastic event from Knockerwhite, 15/10/12
Great venue with great PA system. Even though this was only a film it was just like being at the gig. Last saw zep in 1973 so this was a special night. Can highly recommend.

Marvelous Film - Wonderful Event! from Essex07, 15/10/12
Great evening from the way the Hammersmith Apollo was be-decked with the Celebration Day logo and red carpet, the introduction by the band and finally the film! Incredible footage and very, very loud. Everything you want as a Led Zeppelin fan but also enjoyable for non-fans.
