Event Info

Britain’s most successful mixed martial artist and UFC® fighter Michael Bisping will make history on Saturday 8 October at Manchester Arena as he defends the UFC middleweight belt in his hometown against American MMA legend Dan Henderson.

Bisping became the first British athlete to win a UFC title on June 4 at UFC 199, when he upset then champion Luke Rockhold on two weeks’ notice. Just four months earlier, he beat one of the best pound-for-pound athletes in the world, Anderson Silva, in an incredible performance in London.

UFC 204: Bisping v Henderson 2 will be the first title defence by a British athlete on home soil in UFC. The bout is also a rematch between the two athletes, who met previously at UFC 100 in 2009 where Henderson (32-14; fighting out of Temecula, California, USA) knocked out Bisping (30-7; fighting out of Huntington Beach, California, USA) in spectacular fashion in the second round.

Given the huge global interest in such an exciting main event and card stacked full of international athletes, the event is scheduled to start at 11.00pm locally with the main card due to start at approximately 3.00am to cater for as many fans as possible to watch live.

Any under 16's must be accompanied by an adult- an adult is someone over 18.
