Event Info

Maverick and iconic British violinist Nigel Kennedy turns back the clock but adds a typical and traditional Kennedy twist as he performs an acoustic version of his ground breaking Four Seasons. Titled The New Four Seasons, Nigel will take the audience on a journey through the seasons with extraordinary flair, taking on new interpretations of the music whilst keeping the Four Seasons at its root.

The first half will feature Nigel’s own critically acclaimed compositions, entitled Dedications. These pieces feature melodic charm, elegance and beauty as well as great virtuosity – all characteristics of Nigel’s playing which have made him one of the most highly-regarded violinists in the world.

    07/05/13

    Superb from Allan, 13/05/13
Nigel completely at home with classical ,jazz, and a brilliant showman backed by three great musicians. Did not need banks of amplifiers to deliver great music for the whole concert
  • Cardiff - St Davids Hall

    02/05/13

Superb Evening from Anne & Brian Davey, 08/05/13
First class musicians, wonderful combination of music. The rapport between Nigel and the other musicians was extremely entertaining. What marvelous talent! We didnt want the evening to end and would certainly attend more of Nigels concerts. Previously we have only been to Nigels classical concerts and thoroughly enjoyed them, but this was an unusual programme, in a relaxed atmosphere, with an enthusiatic audience - brilliant!!! • Leeds - Leeds Town Hall

    28/04/13

Unforgetable performance from Andrew & Linda Crossland, 08/05/13
He makes his fiddle sing. The Fats Waller numbers were astonishing and his band were brilliant. We could have heard more of them in solo.
