Event Info

Winwood has been making music for more than 50 years and has remained a primary figure in rock ‘n’ roll and a respected innovator who has helped to create some of the genre’s most celebrated achievements.

From his teens Winwood has enjoyed chart success with the Spencer Davis Group in the mid-60s. Winwood has since co-founded Traffic, one of the most important British groups of the 60s & 70s. He then joined ‘Blind Faith’ - often considered rock’s first genuine ‘supergroup’ with Cream’s Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker and former Family bassist Rick Grech. He had a successful solo career in his own right following his debut solo album in 1977.

Over the past couple of decades Winwood has enjoyed a highly successful solo career and continues to be one of the best musicians and vocalists to come out of the UK.

While rightfully acknowledged for his many achievements, Steve Winwood forges ahead undaunted, continuing to create and perform new and exciting material. He remains one of the most important and influential artists in all of popular music.
