Event Info

In December this year Fish returns to UK stages to debut his new studio album 'Weltschmerz' together with a final full 30th anniversary performance of 'Clutching at Straws', his last album with 'Marillion'.

'Weltschmerz' , scheduled for release in November 2017 has been announced as his final studio album as Fish gears up for retirement with a farewell tour planned for the following year. There's a certain synchronicity to performing both these albums together and following on from the highly acclaimed sold out UK tour in 2015/16 where he performed 'Misplaced Childhood' on it's 30th anniversary for the last time this promises to be a special event not to be missed!

  • Milton Keynes - The Stables

A great event, only slightly spoiled... from Dark Cookie, 04/06/13
My first time at the stables, which is a great, laid-back, intimate venue, on the outskirts of Milton Keynes.

Anywhere where you can sit in your seats with a cold beer in a proper glass, with a great view and clear sound is one worth visiting again. Not my first time seeing Fish. And I hope not the last. The mans presence and persona from the moment he prowls onto the stage grips you. A lot of new material was plaid on the night, including songs from the High Wood Suite, which Fish took time to explain, which helped make these songs all the more poignant.

Looking forward to the new album (which Ive ordered the following day). But I have to be honest, I think like the majority of the crowd, it was the old stuff we were looking forward to, and were not disappointed. Fish banter and self deprecation was spot on, his handling of some hecklers was just right. Which brings me onto the only gripe of the evening. The two drunk idiots sat in front of me, who abused the staff, talked loudly in the quiet bits and heckled very poorly, were the only thing stopping the evening getting 5 stars. Gentlemen (and I use the term loosely) you should be ashamed, you were certainly old enough to know better. You very nearly ruined a great evening, but thankfully didn't, cheers.

Overall, great music, old and most encouragingly new, brilliant band, amazing performer and good venue.

    Brilliant! from Teresa141, 29/05/13
Fish has really polished his performance! Gone are the days when he relied on fans to know the lyrics, when he would constantly forget. All in all a really fabulous gig and I didnt even mind him shaking his head at me for shaking my camera on his face, his words not mine. Fab to hear old and new tracks equally and loved the war related trio. Very interesting when you could hear what with someone nattering through it to my right. He knows you know was a real treat! I still have the fully signed 12 on my wall! Ive been a fish company and dare I say Marillion web fan for years. After this show???? I always will be! Great show Derek W Dick! Please come back soon! Leeds maybe?
