Event Info

Calibro 35 have become one of the biggest Italian alternative acts in just a few short years. The band, who have been described by Rolling Stone as "the most fascinating, "retro-maniac" and genuine thing, that happened to Italy in the last years", is the proof that there's one thing that Italians do better than others... soundtracks! The band started back in 2007 when Grammy award candidate, producer Tommaso Colliva (Muse, Franz Ferdinand), invited some of the best musicians from the Italian indie scene - Enrico Gabrielli(Mike Patton, John Parish), Massimo Martellotta (Stewart Copeland, Adrian Younge), Luca Cavina(Retox, Zeus!), Fabio Rondanini (John Parish, Daniel Johnston) - to record some Italian golden age soundtracks. The Milan based combo Calibro 35 have recently been sampled on Dr. Dre's brand new album 'Compton' on 'One Shot One Kill' feat Jon Connor & Snoop Dogg with a sample taken from Calibro 35's third studio album title track “Any Resemblance to Real Persons Or Actual Facts Is Purely Coincidental". Calibro 35 confirms their status of being one of the coolest contemporary band to sample around, their music has recently been used by Jay-Z on "Picasso Baby", Child of Lov & Damon Albarn on "One Day", hip hop supergroup Demigodz on "The Summer Of Sam" and Fritz Da Cat & Noyz Narcos on "With or Without You".
