Event Info

The Polyphonic Spree are a self-described "choral symphonic rock" group from the Dallas, Texas area. The band generally consists of a 10-person choir, a pair of keyboardists, as well as a percussionist, drummer, bassist, guitarist, flautist, trumpeter, trombonist, violinist/violist, harpist, French horn player, a pedal steel player, theremin player, and an electronic effects person. Individual members and the number of musicians vary because of the flexibility necessary in travelling with such a large band. Tim DeLaughter is musical director and contributes lead vocals, as well as keyboards, guitar, and percussion.

This September the band celebrate their 15th Anniversary by performing their debut album "The Beginning Stages of..." in its entirety with a bunch of favourites afterwards. This is not just an ordinary concert - this is an experience. Get your tickets now.

A wonderfully, joyous show! from Geordie, 10/06/14
My first visit to The Clapham Grand and expectations gleaned from the website was borne out in the flesh as this quaint old theatre provided perfect surroundings for the wonderful Polyphonic Spree. I missed the opening act as a nearby Vietnamese restaurant urgently needed my attention, I did however manage to catch main support MT who provided an entertaining prelude to the main event. From the outset The Polyphonic Spree were a delightful kaleidoscopic vision while blasting out their wonderfully joyous songs, in between Tim de Laughter would amuse the crowd with his witty observations. A terrific show, I still cant help smiling when I think about it.
