In just 7 years Sarah Millican has gone from winning the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to becoming one of the UK’s most successful and multi-award-winning comedians, who also holds the record as the highest selling female comedian in the DVD market.
This autumn, Sarah will delight her fans as she heads out on the road again for her fourth stand-up tour, Outsider.
In the past when you put Sarah Millican outside, she asked things like: ‘Why? Where is the taxi? Do I need a cardie?’ and said things like: ‘There’ll be wasps. I’ve nothing to sit on. Is that poo? Can we go home?’ But things have changed, now she has outside slippers. She can tell a chaffinch from a tit (hey). But she still can’t tell if it’s an owl or her husband’s asthma.
As well as her success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Sarah was also voted the People’s Choice Queen of Comedy at the 2011 British Comedy Awards and has fronted three series of her critically acclaimed BBC2 series The Sarah Millican Television Programme, for which she received two BAFTA nominations. Sarah is also a popular guest on primetime shows such as The Graham Norton Show, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Jonathan Ross Show, Live at the Apollo and The Royal Variety Performance. Her new tour, Outsider, will run for 119 dates, starting this October and finishing in Sept 2016, with her last tour, Home Bird, having been seen by over 200,000 people.
Sarah is a natural storyteller who charms the audience through her skilfully delivered gag-packed anecdotes about life’s curiosities. With a track record of three sell out tours and 700,000 combined tour DVD sales to date, the Outsider tour promises to be another critically acclaimed triumph.
Really funny the whole way through! Amazing! from MegTee, 05/03/14
Absolutely loved this show, seriously not a bad joke in sight which I somewhat expected at a live comedy show. Yes there were jokes which were not quite as funny as others but they were still funny saying that. Sarah is really great live and engaged brilliantly with the audience, not pressuring them in to being picked on as some comedians do, but rather allowing them to input their own experiences and advice where she gave opportunities to do so.
I would say the best female comic on the scene currently and really trying to keep away from the boring scripts they tend to make on the struggles of being a woman or being fat which is so old. Sarah does put a modern, uncaring spin on comedy that she deserves to be recognised for.

Had a brilliant evening - Sarah Millican was on excellent form. Laughed out loud loads, my friend Rosy and I had a great evening. Much better live than on the telly. She is awesome!

Hilarious Night Out from ShiannHH, 03/03/14
Took my friend for her 50th birthday & we had a fantasic night out. Sarah Millican was brilliant & hilarious, rattling out stories & jokes at break neck speed. She had a great rapport with the audience & managed to be warm, funny & filthy all at the same time. Not for the easily offended!!
