  • London - British Music Experience at the O2 Arena

As Dan said Absolutely Immense from Ian, 23/11/11
Great news to hear that Black Stone Cherry will be touring in March 2012, have seen BSC five or six times including a small acoustic set at the British Music Experience at the O2 Arena in London which was very up close and personal. These guys know how to ROCK. The last album Between The Devil & The Deep Blue Sea is excellent as their previous albums were. Some bands / artists just can’t cut it when they play live but not BSC, like Joe Bonamassa they thrive when performing live and they look like they are enjoying it as much as their fans are. Go and see them.
  • Manchester - Apollo

Absolutely Immense from Dan Chan, 29/09/10
Last time I went to see Black Stone Cherry was at the Manchester Apollo, atmosphere was amazing, the two support acts were great and the night was pretty random as gigs go. Before the gig as I was parking up I actually met the drummer for the band as he was helping the roadies carry stuff from the van into the venue. Once inside the gig warmed up with two very good support acts and Black Stone Cherry soon emerged and kicked off with the show. Halfway through their set they have a break and threw out Krispy Kreame Doughnuts into the crowd. After our doughnut break they played Skynyrds Sweet Home Alabama (to commemorate the anniversary of the plane crash) and some classic Muddy Waters. Going back to their own songs they broke into The Key and all swapped instruments (the singer taking over the drums and the drummer doing a harmonica solo) Once back on the kit the drummer broke into an unforgettable drum solo and after a few more tracks the show soon ended. After the gig the band said they would be up in the circle bar and everyone was welcome to come and join them for a drink. Unfortunately I didnt actually get to join them personally but it was still a great night.

Deep down in Louisiana, close to New Orleans, rang like a Sunday morning church bell, calling on saints and sinners alike to free their minds and become part of the revolution. They came out of the Southern swamps, the California desert, the working class towns of the Midwest and all along the East Coast. Loud guitars and larger than life drumming ...
