Award winning songwriter and performer Francesco de Gregori has announced a London date as part of his forthcoming European tour this autumn. On Monday 23 October, he will perform a selection of his greatest hits and favourite tracks, at the o2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London.

Francesco De Gregori is often referred to as a singer-songwriter and poet. His elegant lyrics and way with words have garnered him the nickname “Il Principe dei cantautori” The Prince of the singer-songwriters” and is one of Italy’s most cherished Artists.

42 years since his debut album and with a discography that includes 39 live and studio albums, he has many songs that have become classics of Italian music. Such as ‘La donna cannone’, ‘Rimmel’ , “Generale” and “Un angioletto come te”.

His latest album released in February 2017, Sotto Il Vulcano is a tribute to De Gregori’s long time collaborator and friend, jazz musician Lucio Dalla. Recorded live on the “Amore e Furto” tour in Taormina, Sicily in the awe inspiring setting of the ancient Greek theatre, Entering the FIMI charts at #4, ( #1 on vinyl).
