Event Info

An exceptional night of Mod Revival sounds featuring three of the movement's biggest names - The Lambrettas, The Chords & Squire.

The Lambrettas came to prominence in the late 1970's Mod Revival scene in the UK. Their first single "Poison Ivy" captured the zeitgeist of the time and went straight into the Top 10 of the UK charts and earned the band a slot on BBC1's "Top of the Pops". Further singles "D-a-a-ance", "Another day, another girl", & "Good times" brought the band a huge audience. Tonight is the band's first London date with their new horn section.

The Chords were championed by Paul Weller and Sham 69's Jimmy Pursey before signing to Polydor Records and scoring chart hits with "Maybe Tomorrow", "Something's Missing", "The British Way of Life" and more. Their debut album "So Far Away" reached number 30 in the naitonal charts. Now fronted by original member Chris Pope, The Chords UK will be playing the hits and more tonight.

Squire released the first single of the late 70's Mod Revival "Get ready to go" and followed this up with "Walking down the King's Road", "It's a mod, mod world" and "Face of Youth Today". Fronted by Anthony Meynell, Squire have released five albums including 1983's "Get Smart" & "September Gurls" in 1984.
