We are also a popular Venue for some of the biggest names in Comedy, including Lee Evans and Peter Kay, both of whom have appeared at the arena in recent years!
Motorpoint Arena Cardiff is a multi-purpose Venue, and apart from Live Music and Comedy we host World class sporting events such as Boxing and Premier League Darts, as well as high profile banquets, conferences and exhibitions in the Main Arena, and smaller events such as meetings, smaller conferences, exhibitions, weddings & parties in our other function rooms.

The venue is right in the city centre, excellent for easy transport to and from events, especially late night shows
Kylie Minogue (06/10/14) - Wow
From the moment kylie arrived on stage until the minute she left, the crowd were wrapped around her little finger. After a slightly disappointing new album, kylie pulled out all the stops for this show. She went back to her very first hit right through classics and bang up to date songs. The stage and light show were amazing and the dancers were very sexy. As her song goes. Wow wow wow. It was the first time i had taken my daughter to a gig, she didnt stop smiling all night.
Joe Bonamassa (26/09/13) - Getting better and better
This is the third time Ive seen this guy. The previous twice was in the Point, Cardiff Bay before the residents complained about the noise and had it closed down. I have seen many reports where people have stated that Joe is the best blues/rock guitarist in the world and I cannot dispute that. He is simply phenomenal and gets more polished each time I see him. I liked the fact that he started off with an acoustic set and Woke Up Dreaming is a particular favourite of mine. However there wasnt one bad song out of the entire playlist the other night. We also had our moneys worth. He came on stage at 8.00pm and didnt leave until about 10.15pm. I will continue to go and watch him as long as he carries on playing like this - no-one else comes close
Joe Bonamassa (23/09/13) - Great Guitar Player?
The Concert at Cardiff was my first experience seeing JB live,i have to say i was disappointed. First the Venue the sound at the Motorpoint Arena was poor sounded like music played in a large bowl of Custard,JB is a superb guitarist with a very tight band of excellent musicians but your are only as good as the Material!Too many songs sounded the same and predictable you knew when the guitar solo was coming,so i hope with some feedback from Fans and people he respects he might re evaluate his material
