Goonergoose, 10/11/14
Beer was flat in the pump so had a bottle instead. Wife had a coffee, they had to disappear to hunt for some milk. Really not very prepared.
Joanne Shaw Taylor (10/11/14) - Great night!
This is one talented girl who is really starting to grasp prominence in the mainstream. A Blues/Rock guitarist, but on saying that a fantastic husky strong voice. I urge anyone to catch this girl it was a great night that I was really looking forward to and I have to say I wasnt disappointed. It was probably one of the most intimate venues Id been to, I was up front and could really see the artist which is a nice change. Joanne is an awesome guitarist, really strong riffs and stunning solos. This was The Dirty Truth tour (her latest album). Got to meet her at the end, a really nice girl, made my night.
Suzie, 03/11/14
Stage area too high and desperately lacking atmosphere. We mentioned this a couple of times during the show. Leeds Grand is high but much warmer feel.
Marty Wilde's Rock N Roll Party (03/11/14) - generally good event
Slow start from Marty Wilde, also thought content of his chat was a bit, me, me, me. Eden Kane slick, professional, great voice and content. John Layton amazing for his age, still carries a good tune and very entertaining. Marty Wilde got going by mid to end of show and I loved the Lonnie Donegan set at the end.
