Accessibility

Access Scheme
Disabled customers who wish to access a complimentary seat or for their Personal Assistant (carer) or a ticket at a reduced cost will need to join the Centre’s Access Scheme - an easy process that just requires the completion of one form which can be completed by either the disabled person or their nominated carer.

Criteria for joining the scheme
Wales Millennium Centre currently offers a price reduction on most tickets for most performances for disabled visitors. The Centre recognises that some disabled visitors require additional support when attending shows. Therefore, we are happy to offer complimentary seats to Personal Assistants (carer) to enable disabled visitors to visit the Centre.

To qualify for a complimentary Personal Assistant (carer) seat, customers need to prove they are in receipt of:
Higher rate care component of the Disability Living Allowance or
Higher rate Attendance Allowance or
Certificate of Visual Impairment

If you do not qualify for a complimentary Personal Assistant (carer) seat, the Centre will be offering a discount of 30% off the ticket price for those customers who receive:
Middle rate care component of the Disability Living Allowance or
Lower rate of Attendance Allowance

How to join?
Proof of eligibility will be required either for the complimentary or discounted seat. The application can be made by either the disabled customer/person or by the Personal Assistant (carer) if they will be booking tickets on behalf of the disabled person. If you are a Personal Assistant (carer) who cares for more than one individual you will need to apply separately for each person you assist.

If you are a qualifying disabled person in receipt of the higher rate care component of the Disability Living Allowance, higher rate Attendance Allowance or Certificate of Visual impairment, please download Access Scheme Application Form to apply to join the access scheme.

If you are a qualifying disabled person in receipt of the middle rate care component of the Disability Living Allowance or the lower rate Attendance Allowance we offer a 30% price reduction for a Personal Assistant (carer), please download Access Scheme Application Form to apply to join the access scheme.

If you are a Personal Assistant (carer) who attends the Centre to facilitate a visit by a disabled person, and you book tickets on behalf of a disabled patron, you can apply to join the access scheme on behalf of your client by download.

If you are an organisation, business i.e. residential care homes, hospices etc. which is responsible for the care and well being of groups of disabled people that otherwise would not be able to attend the Centre unless accompanied.
