Rodriguez

Is this a once in a lifetime gig? from Deborah, 18/03/14
Rodriguez mesmerises from the first glimpse - unique character, fascinating. His frail entrance and exit belied his strong performance, but made me wonder if I would ever see him again - was he enjoying himself enough? The Apollo is a fine venue, but I wondered if he would appreciate a more intimate setting, where engagement with the audience would be very easy.

Good night from Cate Henderson, 18/03/14
It was a great evening until the last act, Russell Peters, who was dire. He did not tell a single joke and was digging a deeper hole for himself as he lamely continued. Lots of people left early but we were unable to escape.

Unexpected from Agne, 17/03/14
Sorry to say, but concert was the worst ever I have been. Something was wrong either with music, or with artist.

Sadly disappointing! from Noushki, 17/03/14
Since watching the documentary about Rodriguez we fell in love with his music and his story. Weve been waiting a long time to see him live and it was a complete disappointment. Rodriguez was good, although seemed unprepared, taking long gaps between songs like he was confused which song to play next. The biggest disappointment though was the venue management! I am sure they loved the fact the concert tickets were sold out, but the acoustics were so poor that instead of Rodriguez we only heard people talking. We all repeatedly shouted we cant hear you!, louder, but the acoustic guy temporarily increased the volume and then put it down again. We stood on the back unable to hear, unable to see due to tall men in front of us and after an hour we left. It was the first concert I have ever left earlier and shockingly we were not the only ones. Outside the venue only an hour through Rodriguezs concert there was a crowd of people who were disappointed, angry and decided to leave earlier. I guess the only ones who really enjoyed the music and Rodriguez interaction with the crowd were the people standing directly by the stage. Note to the Eventim management- few months ago you completely screwed up by underselling tickets for Adam Hill who on the night of his video recording was faced with empty seats in front rows of the venue. Two weeks ago we were almost refused the entry to the venue as our etickets didnt work. It took a while to sort it out. Now at Rodriguez someone did a poor job with acoustics making it impossible for all of us to enjoy the concert we paid £40 to see. Its time to pull your act together and make sure those mistakes dont happen again! Youre slowly ruining your reputation!
The Stranglers

The Stranglers Ruby Anniversary Con... from Trevor, 15/03/14
I went to see The Stanglers on Saturday 8 March 2014 as my birthday present. I wasnt dissapointed. They played all their old classics: Golden Brown, Hangin Around, Looking At The Peaches etc. The venue was packed to capacity, however, I was lucky enough to be right in front. Great lighting and sound and the stage decor was excellent! I was never really into punk but the Stanglers where and still are a great act that I listened to growing up. Thanks Stranglers and Hammersmith Eventim Apollo for a great show!

Great event! from Chantal, 10/03/14
I was used to go to stadiums and watch Westlife perform. But this theater was perfect. I sat at row F. That is very close to the artist. Amazing! The sound and the space were amazing.

GREAT EVENT, CRAPPY SOUND SYSTEM from ELZBIETA KUMIEGA, 04/03/14
WENT TO JAMES ARTHUR CONCERT IN HAMMERSMITH APOLLO WITH MY FAMILY, THE CONCERT WAS VERY GOOD BUT THE SOUND SYSTEM AT THE EVENT NEEDS A PROPER IMPROVEMENT AS YOU CANT HEAR PROPERLY OF WHAT IT IS THE ARTIST ARE SAYING OR SINGING. ALL IN ALL WE ENJOYED THE PERFORMANCE BUT PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO MAKE THE SOUND BETTER.
Beyaz Live

Expensive from Zac, 04/03/14
I think it was expensive for a short show. Didnt enjoy it. I would believe beyaz show would be much better, but clearly saw he s done it for the money and didnt care about anything else.
Beyaz Live

AMAZING !!!! from Emine, 03/03/14
Beyaz was amazing! He is just amazing our view was great! some of the workers were rude because Beyaz wanted a girl to come on stage and they did not let her, which was rude of them. the microphones kept cutting off as well. Also they did not allow it to go longer then 11pm, which was a shame! But Beyaz made our night so forget everything else !
Sarah Millican

Great Evening from @CBI62, 03/03/14
Had a brilliant evening - Sarah Millican was on excellent form. Laughed out loud loads, my friend Rosy and I had a great evening. Much better live than on the telly. She is awesome!
Rizzle Kicks

Best Act Ive Seen Live! from Sharky, 03/03/14
I bought two tickets for my mum and I to see Rizzle Kicks on 1st March at Eventim Apollo as my mum is a huge fan and its a special birthday for her this year. The support acts were great and the crowd around us were fab; we were all dancing and having a great night. Rizzles from start to finish oozed energy and had the crowd dancing from the off. My mum and I were in stitches at Jordans dancing and we thought they were absolutely awesome live. BEST GIG SO FAR! :D

The Big Reunion

The night of my 90s life from MissT, 24/02/14
I had such a good time at this event. I even hit the man in front of me when I went for the big note during an Eternal song.
The Bhangra Showdown
15/02/14
Bhangra entertainment at its best! from Divindra, 20/02/14
8 Fantastic University Bhangra Acts who danced their socks off on stage. The hard work was evident and every team should be proud of their performance. Also Spellbound, Jaz Dhami plus other special dance acts provided a thrilling evening. The evening started at 7pm and finished around 11pm. All finalists should be called and winner announced; not impressed that; third place was mentioned and no mention of Imperial who were placed 2nd. Also too many breaks & needless chat by hosts made it a very long evening. Still, looking forward to TBS 2015 already!
The Bhangra Showdown

Superb event from Ravi Sandhu, 18/02/14
Many amazing performances and a spectacular performance from Jaz Dhami. The music volume was a overbearing at times.

Wonderful from David, 10/02/14
What an evening. All the classics from this Iconic group, performed to the highest standard. Great acoustic section where everyone joined in and the hairs on the back of your neck stood up. Live cd will be released in the near future, cant wait
City and Colour
31/01/14
Great Show, Impatient Crowd from JLynch, 03/02/14
I had upper balcony seats which I now know is not worth the money to see City and Colour ever again. Their performance was amazing as always, but the whole upper audience kept getting up to either go to the toilet or to the bar continuously throughout the entire performance. So it was clear to me that they were not true fans as my experience kept getting interrupted. Next time I will only get standing floor tickets if possible as that is where the real experience is. It just felt like no one around me cared and were busy snapchatting and recording the show and talking amoungst themselves rather than enjoying the music.

Best experience ever !!!! from Domi Sochon, 30/01/14
I loved it, I enjoyed it with all my hart and I will remember this event till the end as one of the best ever . Thank You God for Ludovico and his talented Team
Ludovico Einaudi
22/01/14
Wonderful! from Lynn, 29/01/14
Again Ludovico Einaudi provided us with a beautiful, emotional, tantalising, heart bursting evening of music! His band of musicians are simply of the highest calibre taking us firstly through his most recent work, In a Time Lapse. The second half saw the Maestro perform solo with sheer depth of feeling and sensitivity, followed by huge uplifting pieces from his earlier repertoire again with his band. He always provides us with a surprise - this time we were given 6 young people from Drumworks from the Barbican/Guidhall. Their drumming was an exciting accompaniment, a joy to hear and the delight on Ludovicos face as he played was also a joy to see! Thank you Maestro!

Great night from Jane Brown, 16/01/14
Was a really good night and definitely worth the money, a lot of high rated comedians there and a combination of different types of humour to suit everyone. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would definitely go again next year.
