Delain are a Dutch symphonic metal band from Zwolle, consisting of Charlotte Wessels, Martijn Westerholt, Sander Zoer, Otto Schimmelpennick van der Oije and Timo Somers. Martijn is the ex-keyboardist of the band Within Temptation. They opened the 2010 Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth in 2010. They’ve released two albums so far, Lucidity and April Rain, and their third album looks set for release in early 2011. They were nominated in the New Sounds of Europe category at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards. Though they have had a varied lineup, their sound is very unique and Delain tickets are always sought after by their fans.
