The Hop Farm Music Festival came about after a survey was taken and the feeling amongst fans buying festival tickets, was that they ended up feeling the lowest on the pecking order. So we felt it was time to go back to basics and let it be about the punter and the music.- No Sponsorship / No Branding- No VIP’S- Children aged 12 and under are admitt...

Kent - Hop Farm Festival: Paddock Wood
The best day of my summer! from JWesting, 28/08/12I had never been to Hop Farm festival before. I bought a Saturday day ticket with a friend and we caught the free shuttle service from Paddock wood train station. We had the best day ever! The music was superb and there was something for everyone: this impressed us the most. People were there from 8 year olds to 80 year olds and the fact that everyone was there for the music united the crowd together so well. There was no violence, prejudice, fighting or anything nasty at all; it was a really inclusive event that was superbly organized, really friendly fun and well, simply a fantastic way to spend summer!
The fact that the sun shone was an added bonus! I have just bought two early bird weekend camping tickets so I can go again next year. Whats also really good about this festival is that the prices are reasonable too...I came back from Leeds which was this weekend just gone and I had spent a lot of money for the 3 day ticket. I dont regret it as I had a fantastic time but seeing that I could get a Hop Farm early bird ticket for just £125 gave my wallet the biggest of smiles!! Im already excited! For those of you sort of umming and arring as to whether or not to book Hop Farm NOW...stop umming and arring and just do it...you seriously wont regret it. Vince Power, bring on 2013! :)
Tonbridge - Hop Farm
Awesome from Heswall Dave, 10/08/12Best weekend ever. So much quality on show there were inevitable clashes and sadly missed Suede. Special mention to Taj Mahal, Lucy Rose, Joan Armatrading (outstanding - what a lovely lady), Patti Smith and My Morning Jacket. Bob was also brilliant - the man is an absolute legend and continues to evolve - may he stay forever young.
God bless Pootopia and all the lovely people who run it and provide the wondrful reading material - worth every penny of £2. Great draft beer, a Pimms bus and Aspalls cider and a great selection of food. What more could you want! Well done Vince Power. Roll on HF 2013.

HOP FARM MUSIC FESTIVAL 2012 from Happy Jenny, 01/08/12Great atmosphere, better than average loos and great food. Only went for the Friday so made the most of music, good vibes and reasonable weather. Ray Davies was a great performer with true rapport with the audience, Peter Gabriel at his best with vocal back up from his daughter and Ane Brun - not to mention the New Blood Orchestra. All this plus Billy Ocean and Jose Gonzalez. Whats not to like?!
