Field Day is an outdoor music festival which takes place in Victoria Park in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, with its unique formula of pioneering line up coupled with village fete mentality. The single day event takes place in the summer of each year. Hosted by forward-thinking promoters Eat Your Own Ears, Bugged Out!, Bleed and Lanzarote, Field Day is a festival that has become synonymous with imaginative and progressive bills.
The first festival took place on 11 August 2007. It has continuously expanded and improved every year since, with a seventh event scheduled for 25th May 2013. Since its inception, ticket allocation for the festival has sold out every year the festival has taken place.
The 2013 festival promises to be another incredible event with some brilliant acts already confirmed including: Animal Collective, Bat For Lashes, Amateur Best, Charlie Boyer and the Voyeurs, Chvrches, Connan Mockasin, Daphni, Dark Dark Dark, Daughter, Disclosure, Django Django, Do Make Say Think, Egyptian Hip Hop, Emeralds, Everything Everything, Four Tet, Francois and the Atlas Mountains, Fucked Up, Ginger Baker Jazz Confusion, Hessle Audio DJs - Ben UFO, Pangaea, Pearson Sound, How To Dress Well, Jacques Greene, James Yorkston, John Cooper Clark, Julio Bashmore, Karenn, Kurt Vile Mount Kimbie, Mulatu Astatke, Palma Violets, Savages, Seth Troxler, Shed, Solange, Splashh, Stubborn Heart, Thomas Mapfumo, Tim Burgess, TNGHT, Virals, Vondelpark, Wild Nothing.
