Klaxons are an English indie band based in London. Their album Myths of the Near Future won them the 2007 Mercury Prize, and the single Golden Skans went to number seven in the UK chart after being A-listed on Radio 1. The follow-up single, It’s Not Over Yet, peaked at number 13. They have been touted as the pioneers of ‘new rave’, a sparsely populated subgenre of indie with 90s dance influences. Their new album, Surfing the Void, is due out in August.
