Scouting for Girls are an English pop band from London, made up of Roy Stride (vocals, guitar), Greg Churchouse (bass guitar) and Peter Ellard (percussion). Their name is a play on words of the Scouts handbook, Scouting for Boys. They write catchy, pure pop songs about love and life, and have been nominated for three BRIT Awards. Their eponymous debut album went straight to number one in the UK upon its release in 2008 after the success of singles She’s So Lovely, Heartbeat and Elvis Ain’t Dead. Scouting for Girls tickets sold out across the UK for their extensive touring in 2008 and 2009. Their second album, Everybody Wants to be on TV was released in April 2010.

We went to see Scouting For Girls, Amelia Lily, The Lovable Rogues, The Promise and Lily Green and Maguire at Newark Festival. It was an amazing night despite the weather! We even met the lads from Scouting For Girls! A night we will never forget! -

Great Event from Sarah, 29/08/12
The event was great and in a fantastic central location. It was a shame about the weather, but that cannot be helped :-) Only thing needed was a greater selection of drinks and more than one beer tent as queues as always were large!!!! Fab band and atmosphere !!!!
