OMD tickets at eventim.co.uk

The Liverpool music scene of the late 1970's was an exciting and dynamic place to be. Everyone was either in a band, or were forming a band. In the midst of this activity was Eric's Club, which would later form bands such as Echo & The Bunnymen and Frankie Goes To Hollywood. So it was apt that Eric's was the venue of choice for the debut performance of Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) in October 1978.

  • Glasgow - Glasgow Royal Concert Hall

    12/05/13

Absolute Magic from Big Stu Baws, 20/05/13
One of the best concerts I have been to for years. The guys were brilliant and havent lost their touch over 30 years or more!!!!

It was great to hear the classics again like Enola Gay, Souvenir, Joan of Arc and my personal favourite, Forever Live and Die. The guys really looked like they were enjoying themselves as much as the crowd were and really made you feel part of the show.

Andy still can't dance but tries so hard, his voice sounds just the same today as it did back then. Paul Humphery brought a tear to my eye with Forever!!!!

Best concert for years. Quite simply the guys did what it said on the label. Great night, would go back and see them any day.

  • London - Hammersmith

    07/11/10

    80s Alive & Well from Eric H, 10/11/10
At Hammersmith Apollo, have seen the guys many times over the years but not in the last 15. So not sure what to expect.. I was in my 20s again, nothing had changed with OMD. A little older, but sound wise spot on. From the first note the crowd new exactly what song was coming and that carried on all nigh. A great fan base getting into the old songs with all the passion they had, had in their youth and really enjoying the new tracks. The announced that they will not be on tour for at least the next 3 years. Now that I have found them again I just cant wait. A fantastic evening bringing back some great times, long may they continue. If you get the chance to see them do so. One of the best.
