Epic Concert. Peter Frampton at his... from Captain Chaos, 07/03/11

This was an epic concert - the venue was perfect and small enough so that Peter could really engage with the audience but big enough to get the atmosphere. We were up on level two and the mixing left a lot to be desired; Peter's guitar and mic were drowned out by the drums quite a few times. There were a couple of famous onlookers (Bill Wyman to name one) in the crowd. Im not a Peter Frampton fan per se but I'm booking my tickets for the 35th anniversary Frampton Comes Alive Tour now! If you're reading this Peter, you would have got an "amazing" if the mixing had been better. When you do a sound check think of us poor plebs upstairs! Use the old Deep Purple adage - everything louder than everything else! We might be able to hear you at the back then.

Superb showman from Laurie, 07/03/11

A great mix from the man, with his usual humour thrown in as well. He played the hits and some songs from the new album. Some superb guitar playing from Peter and the Band.... and nearly 3 hours long! Great value for the money!

Had a wonderful time at Peter Frampton's concert at Academy 2 in Manchester. The venue is quite small and standing only but that was not a problem as I was more than happy to dance through the whole (nearly) 3 hour performance. Peter was brilliant throughout, happy and smiling - his guitar playing and singing as good as ever. The band were excellent also. I had the very best time and can't wait to repeat the experience when he comes back on his 35th anniversary tour later in the year!

Peter Frampton Comes Alive was one of the first albums that I bought when I was a teenager (5000 years ago) - but I have never seen Peter in concert. Let me tell you - it was well worth the wait. He played most of Comes Alive - plus some stuff with which I was less familiar plus a couple of covers. Fab rapport with the audience and great musicianship (also a lovely venue) - what more can you want from a concert. I'll definitely be buying tickets when he tours again in November.

Two hours of brilliant musiac thanks Peter. A great cover of Black Hole Sun... Some tracks off the new album. He even did Humble Pie (shame he missed out From The Underworld by The Herd). Some really beautiful guitaring!
