Sadly disappointing! from Noushki, 17/03/14
Since watching the documentary about Rodriguez we fell in love with his music and his story. Weve been waiting a long time to see him live and it was a complete disappointment.
Rodriguez was good, although seemed unprepared, taking long gaps between songs like he was confused which song to play next.
The biggest disappointment though was the venue management! I am sure they loved the fact the concert tickets were sold out, but the acoustics were so poor that instead of Rodriguez we only heard people talking. We all repeatedly shouted we cant hear you!, louder, but the acoustic guy temporarily increased the volume and then put it down again. We stood on the back unable to hear, unable to see due to tall men in front of us and after an hour we left. It was the first concert I have ever left earlier and shockingly we were not the only ones. Outside the venue only an hour through Rodriguezs concert there was a crowd of people who were disappointed, angry and decided to leave earlier. I guess the only ones who really enjoyed the music and Rodriguez interaction with the crowd were the people standing directly by the stage.
Note to the Eventim management- few months ago you completely screwed up by underselling tickets for Adam Hill who on the night of his video recording was faced with empty seats in front rows of the venue. Two weeks ago we were almost refused the entry to the venue as our etickets didnt work. It took a while to sort it out. Now at Rodriguez someone did a poor job with acoustics making it impossible for all of us to enjoy the concert we paid £40 to see. Its time to pull your act together and make sure those mistakes dont happen again! Youre slowly ruining your reputation!
