Scouting For Girls play a string of gigs across the country this August

On 5 March 2012, Scouting for Girls announced via Twitter that they had begun the process of recording their third studio album, The Light Between Us, which includes the tracks 'Snakes and Ladders' and their new single 'Summertime in the City'. The album will also features the songs "Rains in LA" "Without you" "The Light Between Us" and "Snakes and ladders".

The first single from the album to be released is Summertime In The City. It was released on 27 August 2012. It had its first radio airplay on the Fearne Cotton show 10 July 2012, BBC Radio 1.

    Awesome night! from Marie Baxter, 30/08/12
    We went to see Scouting For Girls, Amelia Lily, The Lovable Rogues, The Promise and Lily Green and Maguire at Newark Festival. It was an amazing night despite the weather! We even met the lads from Scouting For Girls! A night we will never forget!

    The event was great and in a fantastic central location. It was a shame about the weather, but that cannot be helped :-) Only thing needed was a greater selection of drinks and more than one beer tent as queues as always were large!!!! Fab band and atmosphere !!!!
