    LOL! from Mark, 07/08/12
Shrek is sooo funny! Lord Faquar is the star of the show. He was on his knees with funny little legs and he did a dance and I was laughing so hard. I love Shrek I want to go to see it again already. It's the best thing I've even seen.... Thanks to the acting and the people that did the show. LOL!

How come only 3,000 were there from Alf, 06/04/12
This is the first time I have seen Joe. He was on stage for 2 and a half hours. The band were amazingly tight. I loved Joe's singing and playing. What amazed me was the confidence Joe showed when playing in the style of the artists who influenced him. Picking a highlight was impossible but it was definitely Spot the Influence. The amazing one was the Peter Green tribute in the style of Gary Moore. I can only recommend that everyone sees and hears him as often as possible.

Kirk Whalum from James Watson, 04/07/11
Hello Reader! All I can say is that if you know Kirk Whalum- you know what to expect! It was Awesome - Just Awesome! We had front seats- I loved every second of that gig! The house band were great really played up to the standards of American musicians ( even better) The night was wonderful! Kirk is a lovely guy- I loved his attitude and personality! Really down to earth! I would definitely go to another Kirk Whalum gig! Excellent; Excellent & Excellent!

    Great fun. from Naomi, 20/05/11
I wasnt sure how well the film would translate to the stage, but I needn't have worried. The lyrics are witty, the music is catchy , and there is never really a dull moment. The design is superb, and the whole show is very slick.

As with the film, the humour works for all ages, with some moments being just for the grown-ups. There are also added gags for musical theatre buffs, with very funny nods to other shows currently playing. I saw an early preview, and there were moments when some of the cast seemed a little self aware, but I'm sure this is only temporary. Nigel Harman is by far the runaway star of the show with his hilairious performance as Lord Farquaad, but the whole cast is on the whole very strong. Shrek the Musical is silly fun, and highly recommended for all the family.
