The Cult

The Cult tickets at eventim.co.uk

The Cult are a British alternative rock band from Bradford in Yorkshire. They formed in 1983 and developed a loyal following in the UK, before cracking America in the late 80s. The lineup has seen various changes throughout the years, but vocalist Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy, the band’s songwriters, have remained constants for the longest. They began with a post-punk sound (the album Love illustrates this), and this developed towards a more hard rock sound with the albums Electric and Sonic Temple as they broke into the American market.

That was the best gig yet, was there with my beautiful wife and we jumped, bounced, danced and sang all night. The band were incredible , forgotten how many times we have seen the cult but every time they bring the house down and saturday night was no exception. Crowd were great too, looking after one and other, no troubled, no bother just simple a brilliant night. Well done boys, see you next year?

    Electric 13 from Paul, 22/10/13
I have seen a lot of bands and this gig has got to be in my top 10. The crowd was up for it from the off and when Duffy kicked into little devil, everyone just went mad. They played a storming set with the classics lifting the roof off!! The Cult were on fire and Ian Astbury seem genuinely touch by the crowds appreciation. The years may have past by but they proved that they can still deliver And Billy Duffy ( the star of the night for me ) showed that he is still hungry for playing at the top of his game. The Cult are back and better than ever!
