Formed on Canvey Island in Essex in the early 1970's Dr Feelgood has become one of the most popular live rhythm and blues acts in the world. The raw and uncompromising style that made them so popular resulted in Dr Feelgood achieving a number one chart position with the album "Stupidity" - a testament to their dynamic stage show.
Dr Feelgood have enjoyed a string of hit singles in many countries including "Milk & Alcohol", "Down at the Doctors", "Roxette", "She's a wind up" and "See you later Alligator". The current line-up of the band is led by their drummer Kevin Morris, and features Steve Walwyn on lead guitar, Phil Mitchell on bass and charismatic vocalist, Robert Kane, formerly of "The Animals II".

A bit of a strange evening to start with caused by wrong information from venue staff, stating the band would play for 2 hours with no support, and a mixing desk crew not doing their job. Unfortunately, having arrived for 7 pm as stated on the ticket we had to wait until 8:45 pm for the boys to take to the stage. The first few songs ripped through at great pace with barely audible lead vocals and feedback at booming levels. It wasnt a good start to a long awaited and highly anticipated night of good old rock n roll. Fortunately, someone took control of the mix and we were then spoilt with a fantastic hour long set.
Hang on a minute! What happened to the 2 hour set we were told about?
Well that never happened, but the boys done a blinding set, after the initial problems mentioned above, and the rather small crowd went home reasonably happy. Overall the night was good but could have been brilliant if all had gone well and we the fans, no matter how few, had been given more music for our money.

Great Night from Sally B, 28/10/13
First time Id seen Dr Feelgood in over 30 years - it took me back to my teens. Everyone may be older and grayer but the music remains as fantastic as ever. Just booked to see them again in a couple of weeks.
