Event Info

Never tired of the road, Saxon announce the UK leg of their Sacrifice World Tour in support of the upcoming album of the same name. The New Wave of British Heavy Metal legends will play 9 dates in April 2013 and they can’t wait to share their new material on stage.

Throughout the years, Saxon have been touring relentlessly and earning an excellent reputation for the quality and energy of their performances. This is documented in their ‘Heavy Metal Thunder – The Movie’, which is released on 7th December. As UK fans await ‘Sacrifice’ with the same anticipation reserved for Saxon’s previous work, they know the spring shows will be - as always - a treat not to be missed.

Biff Byford says “People have been asking me if this is going to be our last album and tour - we don’t know yet we’ll see how it goes.”

Eventim is the place to look for Saxon tickets and tour dates.

    28/04/13

    Well dissappointed from Bill, 07/05/13
The sound quality at this gig was awfull! All 3 bands were really spoilt by the sound in the hall. I tried standing in several positions upstairs as well as down but the sound was dreadfull. Only the lead and rythem guitars in Saxon could be heard, no vocals and no bass at all! Very poor...

    Fantastic Evening from Tarpers, 22/04/13
With Redline opening the evening, I had not seen these guys before, but would now recommend them. They were followed by The Quireboys, who were clearly out for a good evening, They were a bundle of fun and were clearly enjoying the gig. Then came the Main event Saxon, Nibbs was just a bundle of energy, while Doug and Paul were on their best form, Nigels drum solo was enthralling. But what can you say about Biff, he conducted the crowd and the crowd responded with both new songs from Sacrifce along with pretty much all of their classics. A really good night was had by all, the bands and the crowd.......All in all will definately see them again....

    23/04/11

Saxon St Georges Day Shepherds Bush from Mark Kentfield, 28/04/11
The timing of this tour was unusual, given that the excellent new album Call To Arms was still weeks away. Previewing just four of its tracks before a return visit later in the year, SAXON [10] bring the house down anyway.

The vibe is loose and friendly, several of those onstage sporting silly Union Jack bowler hats, whilst fan-presented St George’s flags are draped upon Nigel Glocker’s kit. White-maned frontman Biff Byford is charming, amusing and ever so slightly ludicrous, but Sweet Jesus… what a foghorn of a voice.

Rarely content to write clichéd lyrics, Saxon regale us with tales of steam trains (Princess Of The Night), lunar exploration (The Eagle Has Landed) and presidential assassinations (Dallas 1pm), though the likes of Heavy Metal Thunder, Denim And Leather, Motorcycle Man, Never Surrender and Play It Loud are quintessential celebrations of the band’s unity with its fans, not to mention hymns to a genre – and indeed a group – that simply refuses to die.
