Shrek - The Musical

  • London - Theatre Royal

    18/05/11

Fantastic Family Fun from Bel, 19/05/11
Shrek the Musical is fabulous. My 13 year old loved it and enjoyed the humour and music. I loved the pantomime style of the jokes aimed at the adults and the jokes aimed at other musicals. Nobody seemed to be taking themselves seriously, they were all just having great fun. Lord Farquaad stole the show for us with some amazing dance routines - it has to be seen to be believed ! Shrek, Donkey and Fiona were also excellent and enough like the film characters to keep the small children happy. I am already planning to go again with both my children, it is good enough to justify a second visit! If you love the films you will love this show.

Little Mix

  • Cardiff - Motorpoint Arena Cardiff

    06/04/12

Little Mix from Jayda Jones, 03/09/12
Saw Little Mix on the X-factor tour, they were the best of the whole night. Leigh-Anne is my favourite as she dresses so brilliantly but they are all so talented and can really sing. I loved the night and cant wait to see them again.
  • London - Half Moon Pub, Herne Hill

    10/09/10

Best Day of My Life!!!!!! from Just Mary - not my nickname - just my name!, 28/09/10
I saw Rumer at the Half Moon Pub in Herne Hill, I travelled from Bridgend in South Wales with my 18 year old daughter after hearing her on Radio 2 over and over - I went from despair at not getting tickets for the Bloomsbury on the 14th to absolute heaven when I tracked her down to the pub. I have never been so blown away by a voice before.....I am 53 years old and it was the first time in my entire life that I felt like I did that night!!!!!! To be in such a small venue with so few people - most of whom seem to know her (I was sat next to Sam an old flatmate) was a privelige. I realise that my ramblings seem totally over the top but this girl is AMAZING.

Tutankhamun

  • Manchester - Trafford Centre Museum

    30/12/10

well worth a visit from eifftiwr, 06/01/11
This was a brilliant exhibition and certainly exceeded expectations. My husband and I spent nearly three hours wandering around looking at the background history boards, the films, the layout of the tomb as it was when excavated and exhibits. If these were replicas then the real thing must have been amazing. I had not realised how meticulous the initial catalouging had been in order to record this find. I would recommend to anyone.

Tutankhamun

  • Hamburg - Exhibition Hall in Hamburg

    12/06/10

One not to miss! from Weet, 09/09/10
This is an amazing exhibition that I took my small children and parents to in Hamburg, what I really like is that the kids had an audio guide for them and there was a grown up guide for the adults. You will not be disappointed.
  • LONDON - WEMBLEY ARENA

    13/05/10

ABSOLUTELY STONKIN GIG WEMBLEY MAY ... from GEE BERT, 11/08/10
THESE GUYS MAY BE CLOSE TO OR EVEN DRAWING A STATE PENSION, BUT BOY DO THEY STILL ROCK, AWESOME ENTRANCE BY GENE ,PAUL AND TOM ON A HYDRAULIC PLATFORM FROM BEHIND THE DRUMS OF ERIC, ONLY FOR THE DRUM KIT TO RAISE ABOVE THE STAGE AS PLATFORM CLEARED, FROM THE OPENING CHORDS OF DETROIT, IT WAS A PYROMANIACS HEAVEN RIGHT UP TO THE FINAL CHORD AT THE END OF THE GIG. THIS BAND CERTAINLY KNOW HOW TO WHIP UP THE YOUNG AND OLD RANKS OF THE KISS ARMY. My teenage son (linkin park fan- yes hes the one), was blown away by this gig , so much so he still talks about it (sorry raves about it) and quite rightly so, he cant wait till the next one, and niether can I
  • London - Roundhouse

Joey is the sexiest man on the plan... from Anita Blazevics, 27/07/10
I saw Europe at the i-tunes festival last Sunday, at the Roundhouse, and they are still the hottest rock band on the planet. Joey hasnt aged a day since his final countdown days, although he has updated his haircut and wardrobe (youll be pleased to know). Europe keep getting better and better, and I cant wait to see them live in 2011.

Made you scream! from Nic65535, 02/07/10
The new 4D experience was great - wind, mist and a secret I wont reveal that made my friend scream like a little girl!

Ellie Goulding

  • Leeds - Leeds Met Student Union

    04/03/10

    Captivating performance!! from Suzie, 23/06/10
I saw Ellie Goulding open for Passion Pit at Leeds Met student union. It was so nice to see her at a small venue. I hadnt listened to her album before seeing her live but absolutely loved Starry Eyed and Under the Sheets, so to see her and my favourite band Passion Pit was too good an opportunity to miss. Shes got such a lovely voice, it really is amazing. She reminds me a bit of Sia in that way. She was really lovely and engaging and actually eclipsed the main event for me in some ways! She sang The Writer and I knew I had to get the album after that, in fact it sounded better live, but still an amazing song. I think she changed the key or something for this performance, adding something new to it. She came across as a really lovely girl who is so lucky to be doing what she loves doing. Id definitely buy Ellie Goulding tickets again!
