SUPERB EXHIBITION from BRIAN PLAYFAIR, 15/03/11

I knew the standard of the exhibits was amazing before hand and was not dissappointed. There was really only the odd item that clearly looked like a copy but that did not spoil anything, the vasy majority were just fantastic. The layout was great, open and easy to work round at your own pace - Cairo could learn a few lessons. One aspect only was poor - the individual audio system which was a disaster. A real problem if you did not know the story so I was not worried but should have been so much better. Overall it was a great pleasure to visit the exhibition and well worth the 400 mile round trip. Highly recommended.

We were surprised how good the event was - nicely laid out and well presented - good audio and the exhibits were stunning - Many thanks for a journey across the Pennines being worth it.

This is an amazing exhibition - in some ways better than the real thing because you have replicated everything as it would have been seen by Carter. The audio-guide is very helpful. It took us 3 hours to go round and at no time did I find my attention wandering. Having done the Nile Cruise (although not Cairo as yet) it was great to see places we had visited and to see things that we could not have seen any other way - not in their entirety anyway.
