For over forty years Dale Crover and Buzz Osborne have been blowing minds in Melvins. They came together in the once little-known city of Aberdeen in Washington state in 1983. As influential as they are hardworking, Melvins were one of the first bands to take punk and hardcore, fuse it with metal and hard rock and nuke it, Nirvana and grunge were the fallout.
Throughout the 90’s and 2000’s Melvins continued to record thier signature buzzsaw punk and brutal sludge-heavy metal, whilst creating some more left field noise rock experiments on albums such as the trippy “Stag” (1996) or the progish “Hostile Ambient Takeover” (2002).
Rarely off the road, Melvins once played 51 states in 51 days. 25 Albums in and Melvins show no signs of letting up, releasing “Bad Moon Rising” in 2022 and touring throughout 2023 for their fortieth anniversary.
