Niamh is dyslexic, aged 60; mostly she’s worked as a carer but now after months of lockdown hell, she realises she can face anything, even her demons of literacy.

Goodbye Jolene is a new play from Take the Space and tells the story of a woman, who with grit and courage, resolves to grab a bigger life before it’s too late; a journey of transformation, inspired by Dolly Parton’s own narrative. This is also a story of two people, both lonely and isolated, learning how to live with grief.
