The National Parks is an American indie folk band from Provo, Utah, formed in 2013. The four-member band features Brady Parks (guitar and lead vocals), Sydney Macfarlane (keyboards and vocals), Cam Brannelly (drums), and Megan Taylor Parks (fiddle and vocals).
Their debut album, Young, was released on October 10, 2013, and reached #13 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart. The band has since released additional albums, gaining a loyal following and selling out shows in major cities like New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles.
Their second album, Until I Live, released in September 2015, gained international attention and charted on Billboard's Top Heatseekers Chart. The band's music has been compared to acts like Foster the People, The Civil Wars, and Mumford & Sons. They have shared stages with Andy Grammer, Peter Bjorn and John, and LeAnn Rimes, and performed at notable festivals including South by Southwest and Canadian Music Week.
In 2017, they released their third album, Places, followed by a nationwide tour. Their fourth album, Wildflower, came out in June 2020, accompanied by the "Campfire Tour" designed for smaller, socially distanced audiences due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On March 3, 2023, The National Parks released their latest album, 8th Wonder. They performed a free concert on April 15, 2023, at the Southern Utah University Arts Festival, further solidifying their presence in the indie folk music scene.
