The Snuts, a Scottish indie rock band hailing from West Lothian, Scotland, emerged in 2015 during their school years. Comprising Jack Cochrane (vocals and guitar), Joe McGillveray (guitar), Callum '29' Wilson (bass), and Jordan 'Joko' Mackay (drums), the band drew inspiration from bands like the Libertines and Arctic Monkeys, as well as Scottish culture. Before committing to music full-time, the members pursued various trades. Their debut single, "Glasgow," marked the beginning of a growing fanbase, leading to the release of their EP "The Matador" in 2017. Signing with Parlophone Records in 2018, they gained momentum with singles like "Seasons" and "Manhattan Project." The band's US debut at South By South West in 2019 further propelled their rise. Their EP "Mixtape" peaked at number 14 on the UK Albums Chart and topped the Scottish Albums Chart. The Snuts continued to release singles and covers, garnering commercial success and critical acclaim. Their debut album, "W.L.," released in April 2021, debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. The band embarked on tours in the UK, US, and Mexico, supporting acts like the Kooks and Louis Tomlinson. In 2022, they founded their label, Happy Artist Records, and released their second album, "Burn the Empire." Departing from Parlophone, they embraced artistic independence. Their third album, "Millennials," was announced for release in February 2024.
