Parking at Southbank Centre

Southbank Centre has two car parks operated on our behalf by APCOA Parking UK:

Southbank Centre Car Park - Hayward Gallery

Southbank Centre Car Park - Hungerford Bridge (this car park will be closed during Summer 2012)

Transport for London advise against travelling by car in central London during the London 2012 Games.

Southbank Centre car parks now operate on a Pay-by-Phone system. If you are a regular user of the car parks, you may wish to register in advance by visiting APCOA website. For those unable to pay by phone, Pay and Display machines will also be available.

Tariffs* in both car parks are as follows:

Any length of time between 5pm and 1am £9
All other times: Up to 1 hour £6.50
Up to 2 hours £9
Up to 4 hours £12.50
Up to 6 hours £15
Up to 8 hours £20
Up to 12 hours £25
Up to 24 hours £35

Please note the concessionary rate for customers attending paid, ticketed events at Southbank Centre is no longer available.

Visitors with Disability

Parking at Southbank Centre’s car park is free to visitors who display a Blue Badge and are attending a paid, ticketed event at Southbank Centre. There are a limited number of dedicated parking bays for Blue Badge holders in the Hayward Gallery Car Park. Patrons parking in a Blue Badge bay should display their badge clearly in their vehicle. (It is no longer necessary for Blue Badge holders to get a parking ticket validated at the Ticket Office).

Motorbike and Cycle Parking

There are designated motorbike bays inside Southbank Centre Car Park - Hayward Gallery, and bicycle racks on Belvedere Road by the Royal Festival Hall and Festival Riverside.

Taxis

A taxi rank is adjacent to Southbank Centre Square on Belvedere Road. If you are arriving at Southbank Centre by taxi, please ask to be dropped off at Southbank Centre Square.

Coaches

Coach bays for free drop off and collection only are available by the London Eye (pre-booked spaces only) and on the Upper Ground Slip Road off Waterloo Road behind the National Theatre, and also on the slip road opposite the National Theatre leading up to Waterloo Bridge.

Access List Scheme

The Access List Scheme may entitle you to purchase tickets at concessionary prices.
