Seating chart booking

The EVENTIM Seating chart booking allows you to purchase exactly the seats you want for an event at a specific venue. Open the seating plan for an overview of all available seats, then click on the seats you want to select them.

Please note that the EVENTIM Seating chart booking is not available for all events.

General admission

General admission refers to seating or standing areas that are not assigned or reserved, and are occupied on a first-come, first-served basis. When purchasing tickets for a General admission event, you may be quoted section, row and seat numbers, however these are for inventory purposes only and do not reflect any actual seating location. Seating arrangements vary for each event, and there may or may not be seats of any kind available.

Seat or standing ticket subject to availability

This price category mainly comprises seats, although this is not guaranteed. Under certain circumstances, you may receive a standing ticket for the same price. We're sorry, but we cannot guarantee to fulfil specific wishes regarding seating or standing tickets. It is not possible to exchange the tickets you receive.

Currently not available

If an event, price level or ticket type is 'Not currently available' then all tickets in that category have been sold.

EVENTIM makes every effort to obtain more tickets so check our website regularly for updates.

Delivery not available

If the event is taking place a few days after you place your order, the option to have your tickets delivered via Standard mail will no longer be available. Depending on the event it may be possible to collect your tickets at the venue or print your tickets yourself using ticketdirect.

Only single seats available

In your chosen price level there are now only single seats available. Although there may be a large number of seats available they will not be next to each other. It may be possible to book consecutive seats in a different price level or by using the EVENTIM Seating chart booking.

Concessions

Concession tickets are often available, e.g. to students, children and seniors. If purchasing concession priced tickets, proof of entitlement, e.g. a valid student id card, may be requested by the venue.

Alight at Haymarket Metro Station and follow the signs for the Theatre Royal. We are less than five minutes walk from the Metro entrance on Northumberland Street.

Quaylink

The nearest Quaylink bus is on John Dobson Street only one minute walk from the City Hall.

Train

The City Hall al is only fifteen minutes walk from Newcastle Central Station.

Buses

The City Hall is only five minutes walk from the Haymarket bus station.

Parking

Free Parking in all City Council multi-storey carparks after 5pm!

The two closest to Newcastle City Hall are Oxford Street multi-storey and Eldon Gardens Multi storey. Please note that these car parks close at 10pm Click here for more info.

John Dobson Street multi storey car park is open 24hrs. Please enquire at the box office on 0191 2778030 for discounts.

There are two parking spaces for blue badge holders on and three on Hood Street. Most parking meters are free to Blue Badge Holders.

The City Hall has 6 seating areas available for every show for wheelchair users. It is necessary for wheelchair seating to be booked in advance. Please contact the box office on 0191 2778030.

Any customer booking a wheelchair seat will receive comprehensive information on access to the City Hall and it’s facilities when booking. Access to the box office is via College Street and is fully accessible.

There is no access to the Concert Bar and refreshment area for wheelchair users. Where customers are unable to access these areas due to ambulatory difficulties, a drinks service is provided by the City Hall. Members of staff are available and can take drink orders and arrange for then to be brought to the foyer/auditorium, on request.

There is no lift access to the balcony.
