When purchasing tickets for a General admission event, you may be quoted section, row and seat numbers, however these are for inventory purposes only and do not reflect any actual seating location. Seating arrangements vary for each event, and there may or may not be seats of any kind available.
This price category mainly comprises seats, although this is not guaranteed. Under certain circumstances, you may receive a standing ticket for the same price. We're sorry, but we cannot guarantee to fulfil specific wishes regarding seating or standing tickets. It is not possible to exchange the tickets you receive.
If an event, price level or ticket type is 'Not currently available' then all tickets in that category have been sold.
EVENTIM makes every effort to obtain more tickets so check our website regularly for updates.
If the event is taking place a few days after you place your order, the option to have your tickets delivered via Standard mail will no longer be available. Depending on the event it may be possible to collect your tickets at the venue or print your tickets yourself using ticketdirect.
In your chosen price level there are now only single seats available. Although there may be a large number of seats available they will not be next to each other. It may be possible to book consecutive seats in a different price level or by using the EVENTIM Seating chart booking.
Concession tickets are often available, e.g. to students, children and seniors. If purchasing concession priced tickets, proof of entitlement, e.g. a valid student id card, may be requested by the venue.

Arriving by train
Alight at Portsmouth and Southsea Station. The Guildhall is 200 metres to the south of the station.
Arriving by car
From the west, take the M27. From the east, take the A27. From the north, take the A3M and follow it as it bears right onto the A27.
Take the M275 south onto Portsea Island. From the end of the M275, follow the signs for Isle of Wight Ferries and Southsea. After a mile, there will be signs for the Guildhall. Turn left after Victoria Swimming Pool (on your left) and continue to follow the signs for the Guildhall which will direct you to the nearest multi-storey car park.

Accessible Toilets
The Guildhall has an accessible toilet which are located in the basement and can be accessed by lifts on either side of the main foyer areas.
Assistance Dogs
Hearing and guide dogs are welcome in Portsmouth Guildhall but please inform the box office when booking as there maybe limited space for your dog. For customers not wishing to take their dog into the auditorium, venue staff are available to ensure they are well looked after.
General Access
There is a gentle ramp entrance to the main foyer for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.
The steps inside the auditorium are quite shallow and both Box Office and Front of House staff can advise customers of the best routes and access points at the time of booking or when arriving for the performance.

Mobility Access
We understand that some of our customers have limited mobility and may need some assistance in the venue. Whilst we will always try to assist in any way we can access is restricted in some areas of our venue.
Wheelchair Access
There are a limited number of wheelchair spaces in the auditorium available and they are bookable by calling or emailing the Box Office; currently they cannot be booked online.
