Accessibility

Access For All

Derby Theatre welcomes all patrons and has an extensive range of services to ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable visit. Do mention your requirements when you book tickets, and don’t hesitate to ask the Duty Manager if there is anything you need on arrival.

Assisted Access Scheme

We operate a scheme for those who need somebody to be present in order to assist them to readily access theatre shows. Our Assisted Access Scheme allows members to buy a seat for themselves and an essential companion at half price. This scheme is only open to those who genuinely require assistance visiting the theatre. Joining is free and a short application form is available from the box office or to download here, providing us with contact details and any information the disabled person would like recorded to assist with their visits.

The applicant, or their appointed representative, will be required to sign a declaration that the person concerned is restricted in their ability to access the services provided in Derby Theatre without assistance. The companion must be able to help the disabled person access the theatre and its facilities, remaining with them to ensure their wellbeing and comfort. All tickets are subject to availability at the time of booking. The theatre reserves the right to review the availability of tickets within the scheme, to review a member's eligibility and to revoke that membership following review.

There are reserved parking spaces for blue badge holders in the Westfield basement car park for which normal parking charges apply. There is a lift directly from the basement car park to all levels of the theatre. Getting Around There is level access to the box office and café from Theatre Walk. The foyer, theatre, bar and studio can be accessed via the lift.
