BY TRAIN
As you walk out of the main entrance of the train station directly ahead of you to your left you will see a large sandstone casleated building. Walk up the hill continuing around the corner with this building to your left As you reach 'Woolworths' on your left hand side you will see a pedestrian crossing with a 'Nat West Bank' on the opposite side. Proceed over the crossing keeping the 'Nat West Bank' to your left.
You are now in the town centre predestinated area. As you reach the end of the predestinated area by the 'Crown and Mitre Hotel' the road splits into three ahead of you, the centre road is called 'Fisher Street'. On the left corner is 'Ristorante Franco', on the right corner is 'Deli France'. Proceed down this road almost to the end about 600 yards apron The Brickyard is on your left hand side.
BY BUS
From the bus station as you look towards the 'Leonardo's' Restaurant on Lonsdale Street, turn right. Look past the road end which you will cross, this road is Lowther Street. As you cross this road walk straight ahead, into the pedestrianised zone, this street is called Bank Street.
At the top of Bank Street you will be facing 'Marks and Spencers', turn right and walk down the centre of the pedestrianized area. As you reach the end of the predestinated area by the Crown and Mitre Hotel the road splits into three ahead of you, the centre road is called 'Fisher Street'.
On the left corner is 'Ristorante Franco', on the right corner is 'Deli France'. Proceed down this road almost to the end about 600 yards apron The Brickyard is on your left hand side.
By road
BY CAR
From the South on the M6
From West Cumbria / Cockermouth, Maryport, Workington, Whitehaven, Wigton
1. As you get into Carlisle on the Wigton Road you will see Morton School on the left hand side. (You will not turn of this road until after Carlisle Castle, proceed straight ahead at all traffic lights)
2. You will reach a roundabout with traffic lights on it, ahead and to your right you will see ‘Scotby Cycles’ to your left at the junction you will see the McVitie’s / United Biscuits factory.
Proceed straight ahead and get in the left hand lane.
3. Pass through the next traffic light (about 500 yards further on), past the Northumbria University Old Brewery Residences (on the left after the light) and over Caldew Bridges.
You will see Carlisle Castle ahead and to the left.
4. As you pass Carlisle Castle there is an exit lane on the left hand side of the road. Take this exit, it will loop back under the dual carriageway.
5. After you pass under the bridge for the dual carriageway take your next available right, Market Street. (There is a big sandstone Victorian market building on this street corner).
7. At the top of this road you can only go right, you are now on Fisher Street; we are down the Hill on the left. Just after the hairdressers.
From the East / Newcastle
1. From Newcastle take A69 to Brampton.
2. From there leave the A69 onto the B road sign posted Carlisle Airport. (there are only 3 roads on that roundabout and you are already on one of them) Take the 2nd exit.
Go all the way to the end of this road, going straight ahead through any roundabouts.
3. About 10 miles from Brampton, you will pass ‘The Cumbria Institute of the Arts’, about ¾ of a mile later you will come to a red light; there will be a river down a bank to the left.
Proceed forward through the light down the hill, as you drive over Eden Bridge, get in the right hand lane and from there the middle lane as you reach the roundabout.
4. This roundabout is called Hardwicke Circus.Take the third exit (actually the 2nd major exit, the 1st one goes into Sands Leisure Centre)
Just before you take the exit you will see a large ugly concrete and glass building immediately to your left and as you take the exit a big castle ahead to your right.
5. 25 yards after the roundabout you will see a left exit from the dual carriageway, take it.At the end you can only turn left.
6. Take your next available right, Market Street. (There is a big sandstone Victorian market building on this street corner)
7. At the top of this road you can only go right, you are now on Fisher Street; we are down the Hill on the left. Just after the hairdressers.
From Scotland / Glasgow on the M74 / A74
1. Take the A7 exit from the A74. (If you miss this exit the next one is the A69, you can follow the directions below for the M6 heading North, except the exit off the roundabout will be the third one, not the first)
2. Take the fourth exit off the roundabout heading into Carlisle (Now follow the directions from Edinburgh starting at Number 3).
From Edinburgh on the A7
1. You will reach the roundabout at the junction of the A7 and M6 South / A74 North.
2. Take the third exit off the roundabout heading into Carlisle.
3. About 3 miles from the Motorway you will come to a red light; ahead of you you will see Eden Bridge.
Proceed forward through the light down the hill, as you drive over Eden Bridge, get in the right hand lane and from there the middle lane as you reach the roundabout.

From the South on the M6
1. Take the second Carlisle exit the A69. Take the First Exit off the roundabout. You are now on Warwick Road.
2. Once you pass the Carlisle United shop on the right at the football ground start paying attention.
3. You will get to a light with a right turn lane, immediately in front of you on the right on a fork in the road is a big sandstone church. Turn Right there, if you miss it you can go next right after the church and left.
4. At the end of this, get in your left lane, it splits into two. Turn Right, stay in the left hand lane.
5. At the bottom of the hill you will come to a roundabout this roundabout is called Hardwicke Circus.Take the first exit.
