You've performed for millions around the world. How does it feel to be heading back to the UK on tour and reconnecting with fans face to face again?

It's honestly like coming home. There's nothing quite like the energy of a live audience – the excitement, the anticipation, the shared magic. It's a reminder of why I started playing in the first place: to connect, to inspire, and to feel that incredible bond that only live music can create.

You've performed in some of the world's most stunning venues. What makes playing in the UK, especially London and Manchester, special for you?

The UK has a really unique vibe - it's full of history, culture, and energy. London and Manchester are hubs of creativity with audiences that really know their music, and they’re not afraid to show their passion. Plus, I always enjoy a good cuppa before the show, so it’s kind of tradition now!

Many of your performances go viral for their emotion and intensity. How do you prepare mentally and physically to give so much of yourself on stage each night?

You know, for me, every performance is like a kind of special journey. I can’t imagine stepping onto the stage and not giving my all. With every show, I want to leave a piece of my heart, my energy, and my story behind. Most importantly, I have to believe in what I’m doing at every moment, and I try to play as if it’s my last - because, honestly, that’s the secret. When you truly believe in your music, that energy is transmitted to the audience, and that’s what creates the magic.

There comes a point when everything just melts together - that’s when I call it emotion. And honestly, it’s the strongest tool I have for communicating and leaving a mark on people. It’s a mix of preparation, passion, and a genuine desire to bring joy, tears, or inspiration with every note and melody - it doesn’t matter what emotion, as long as it hits directly in the heart.

What can audiences expect from “The Rebel is Back” tour - any surprises, new arrangements, or special guests we should look out for?

Oh, I’ve got a few surprises up my sleeve! Expect new arrangements, some fun twists on familiar pieces… It’s a little rebellion on stage - a bit of fun, a lot of passion, and a lot of energy. So, come ready for a good time!

Your fans are incredibly passionate. Do you have any memorable stories or moments from meeting them around the world?

Meeting fans around the world is always a humbling and inspiring experience. Each encounter reminds me of the universal language of music and its power to create genuine connections. One memorable moment was when a young girl from handed me a handmade gift - a small cello crafted from paper and colours. That simple gesture truly touched me and reaffirmed why I love doing what I do. These personal stories and meaningful interactions are what motivate me to keep sharing my music and connecting with people from all walks of life.

You've brought the cello into the global spotlight. What do you hope younger musicians take away from seeing you perform live?

That the cello is more than just a classical instrument - it’s a superstar in its own right! Be bold, experiment, and don’t be afraid to break the rules. Music is a playground, and the cello can play every part - from classical hero to pop icon. So, dream big, work hard, and maybe learn a dance move or two while you’re at it!

Your music often blends genres - from classical to pop to film scores. Is there a style or artist you’d still love to explore or collaborate with?

I believe music is a universal language, and one of the things I love most is how it can blend genres and cultures in surprising ways. My dream is to work with musicians from different parts of the world, each bringing their own traditional instruments and sounds to the table. Imagine a collaboration where classical cello meets the soulful sound of a Greek bouzouki, or the rhythmic beat of an African djembe combined with modern pop - that kind of fusion truly excites me.

I think it’s through these collaborations that we can create something unique, honoring both tradition and innovation. That’s always been my goal: to explore new musical territories, respect the roots, and see how different styles can come together to tell powerful stories.

When you're not performing, how do you unwind or stay creatively inspired?

I love to watch movies, listen to different kinds of music, and explore new cuisines - food is definitely a source of inspiration. Sometimes a walk in nature helps me clear my mind. Inspiration can come from anywhere if you stay open to it.

For anyone thinking about seeing you live for the first time, how would you describe the HAUSER concert experience in one word?

Transformative.

Finally, as a “rebel with a cello”, who is your favourite historical rebel and why?

I would say Elvis Presley - the original rebel who changed everything with his music and style. He wasn’t afraid to break the rules and be himself, and I admire that spirit. That sense of authentic rebellion, and using music to challenge norms and express your true self, is something I try to carry in everything I do. Those connections with fans always remind me that we’re all rebels in our own way, just trying to make our mark on the world.
