The Plowright Theatre and The Baths Hall are owned by North Lincolnshire Council and operated by SMG (UK) Ltd.
SMG is one of the world’s largest international venue operators. The venues are the latest additions to SMG’s UK theatres division, which also includes The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle, Whitley Bay Playhouse and York Barbican.
The Plowright Theatre was opened in May 1958 and has since been a vibrant hub of activity providing a platform for a vast range of high quality entertainment and performing arts by many professional, amateur and community bodies. It has become a landmark in the local arts scene and is much loved by many.

Main Entrance and Foyer The main entrance and Box Office of the Plowright Theatre has level access from Laneham Street. The ground floor foyer spaces are all level access. There is a lift to the bar/restaurant. All bars and the Box Office have low level counter positions. An accessible toilet is available on the ground floor of the theatre. Hearing and assistance dogs are welcome throughout the building and auditorium. Aisle seats can also be requested.
