The Danish coloratura soprano had her opera debut in 1996 at the Wexford Festival Opera, Ireland in the Meyerbeer opera L’ETOILE DU NORD. After the debut her career in Germany started with engagements in Thüringer Landesteater in Eisenach, Stadt Theater Aachen and Semperoper Dresden. She was a member of the soloist ensemble in Dresden from 2005-2009 singing numerous leading roles from Sophie DER ROSENKAVALIER, Queen of the Night DER ZAUBERFLÖTE, Zerbinetta ARIADNE AUF NAXOS, Zdenka in ARABELLA to Constanze AUSFÜHRUNG AUS DEM SERAIL. She has done guest performances in Berlin, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Essen, Köln, Nürnberg, Wiesbaden and Halle.
In season 2010-2011 she sings Zdenka ARABELLA at the New National Theatre in Tokyo conducted by Ulf Schirmer. She has worked with a number of distinguished maestros such as Fabio Luisi, Vladimir Jurowski and Peter Schneider.
In Denmark Agnete Munk Rasmussen has recently sung Queen of the night At the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen and Violetta LA TRAVIATA and Gilda RIGOLETTO at The Danish National Opera.
She has frequently performed with danish symphony orchestras in repertoire like Mozart’s Requiem, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches, Fauré’s Requiem , Händel’s Messiah, several J.S. Bach passions and Mendelssohn’s Elias.
