Arctic Monkeys are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 2002, consisting of Alex Turner, Matt Helders, Jamie Cook, and Nick O'Malley. Initially gaining fame through the Internet, their debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006), became the fastest-selling debut in UK history and won critical acclaim, including a Brit Award for Best British Album.
