Basset is a musical act offering audiences the opportunity to explore contemporary songwriting and live performance in an intimate setting. With an emphasis on musical expression and the connection created between performers and listeners, Basset adds to the diverse independent music scene where new material can develop through both recordings and regular appearances on stage.
Independent live music provides space for artists such as Basset to develop an individual sound without being confined to the expectations of mainstream genres. Songs can evolve through performance, arrangements can change and different musical influences can become more apparent when material is presented directly to an audience. That sense of discovery is an important part of the appeal.
A Basset concert offers listeners the chance to experience the act in the immediacy of a live venue. For audiences who enjoy finding new artists, supporting independent music and hearing songs outside the polished environment of a studio recording, seeing Basset live can provide a closer connection with the music and the people creating it.
