Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden, former members of Boyzone and Westlife respectively, formed the supergroup Boyzlife in 2016. Originally conceived as an autobiographical show where they shared stories from their careers and performed hits from their previous bands, Boyzlife quickly evolved due to high demand. The duo has since toured extensively across the UK, Europe, southeast Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, playing to over 200,000 fans.
In 2020, they released their debut album, Strings Attached, featuring collaborations with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The album topped charts on iTunes and Amazon and charted at Number 12 on the UK Official Album Chart. Building on this success, Keith and Brian decided to create an album of original material, resulting in Old School. The album, a nostalgic homage to the ‘80s and ‘90s, features 10 tracks that blend modern pop sensibilities with the sounds they grew up with.
Collaborating with producer Jackson, they crafted songs about love, family, and mental health. Notable tracks include the power ballad "The One", the romantic "If I Asked You To Love", and the uplifting "A Little Saving", which addresses mental health struggles. Their approach is unashamedly romantic, aiming to bring back the big power ballads reminiscent of Bryan Adams and Michael Bolton.
