Brass Against are a New York based musical collective known for transforming rock, metal and alternative favourites through the explosive sound of brass instruments. Combining horns, percussion and powerful vocals, the group reinterpret music associated with artists such as Rage Against the Machine, Tool and other influential names, creating arrangements that preserve the intensity of the originals while giving them a distinctive new musical identity.
The concept behind Brass Against demonstrates how naturally the weight and aggression of rock can translate into brass driven arrangements. Trombone, trumpet and saxophone lines replace or complement familiar guitar parts, while forceful rhythms and commanding vocals keep the music firmly connected to its heavy roots. The result brings together the precision of accomplished musicianship with the rebellious energy associated with alternative rock and metal.
Live, Brass Against turn that combination into a powerful concert experience. The physical impact of a full brass section gives familiar riffs a fresh intensity, while the band's energetic approach encourages audiences to experience well known songs from a completely different perspective. For rock, metal and brass music fans looking for something beyond a conventional tribute performance, a Brass Against concert offers volume, musicianship and inventive reinterpretation in equal measure.
