Chaosbay are a German progressive metal band known for combining technical musicianship, powerful melodies and the crushing intensity of modern metal. Formed in Berlin, the band have developed a distinctive sound that brings together progressive metal, metalcore and alternative influences. Complex guitar work, atmospheric passages, heavy breakdowns and a balance between clean and aggressive vocals give Chaosbay a dynamic identity that appeals to fans of both melodic and heavier contemporary metal.
The band have expanded their reputation through ambitious releases including Asylum and 2222, demonstrating an ability to combine conceptual songwriting with detailed arrangements and memorable hooks. Chaosbay move confidently between intricate progressive sections and direct, hard hitting moments, creating songs that reward close listening while retaining the immediate impact of modern metal. Their evolving catalogue has helped establish them as an exciting presence within the European progressive metal scene.
Live, Chaosbay translate their technically demanding music into an energetic and intense concert experience. Heavy riffs, dramatic shifts in dynamics and powerful vocal performances give their songs additional force on stage, while quieter atmospheric moments provide contrast before the music builds again. For fans of progressive metal, metalcore and technically accomplished heavy music, a Chaosbay concert offers musicianship, emotion and plenty of raw energy.
